In 2024, the China Development Bank (CDB) effectively utilized the re-lending policy for affordable housing, focusing on supporting Guangxi, Jiangsu, Henan, Jilin, Sichuan, and other regions to acquire existing completed commercial residential properties for use as affordable housing for sale or rent, thereby helping these cities to absorb nearly 10,000 units of existing commercial residential properties.

It is understood that the CDB promptly established various loan products to provide high-quality financial services to various regions. Through special authorizations and differentiated credit policies, it assisted regions in increasing the supply of affordable housing by acquiring existing completed commercial residential properties based on the principle of purchasing according to demand, thus promoting the stabilization and recovery of the real estate market and improving people’s livelihoods. At the same time, the CDB actively sought re-lending policy support and transmitted preferential interest rates, effectively reducing the financing costs for acquisition entities.
