Renowned economist Peter Schiff provided an in-depth analysis of the global economic situation earlier this week, sharply criticizing the short-sightedness of retail investors and Wall Street in their investment judgments, while issuing a grave warning about the U.S. fiscal position.

Regarding the valuation of gold stocks and the direction of the gold market, Schiff believes that the market is severely misjudging the situation. He points out that retail investors have always lacked accuracy in asset judgment, and their current misconceptions about gold have reached an all-time high. Ironically, this extreme bias is precisely a sign that gold is about to embark on a magnificent bull market. Schiff explains that while retail investors are selling off gold, central banks are quietly positioning themselves by purchasing large amounts of physical gold. However, it’s worth noting that central banks are only interested in physical gold, not silver or gold stocks. Wall Street institutions, when assessing the value of gold stocks, consistently assume that future gold prices will be significantly lower than current levels. They are skeptical about the sustainability of this bull market and are unwilling to increase their holdings of gold stocks even as gold prices continue to rise.
