After the central bank cuts interest rates, whether the interest rates of various types of loans of banks will be reduced still needs to be determined by taking into account multiple factors. Some insiders point out that the decline in bank deposit interest rates has become an inevitable trend.
The LPR is merely a foundation, serving as the “anchor” for bank loan interest rates. The final credit interest rate will depend on factors such as the bank’s own strategy and net interest margin. An insider from a city commercial bank said that the net interest margin of banks is still under pressure at present, which has become one of the obstacles to the further decline of loan interest rates.
According to data from the National Financial Supervision and Administration Commission, the net interest margin of commercial banks dropped to 1.52% in 2024. Judging from the net interest margin data of listed banks in the first quarter of this year, the net interest margins of most banks have continued to decline.
