On Monday, Eastern Time in the United States, all three major U.S. stock indexes closed sharply higher. The Nasdaq Composite Index rose by 4.35%, and the S&P 500 Index climbed by 3.26%, both reaching their highest closing levels since March 3. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 2.81%, hitting a new closing high since March 27. Most large-cap technology stocks rose. Amazon increased by more than 8%, Meta by more than 7%, Apple and Tesla by more than 6%, and Nvidia by over 5%.

The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index closed sharply higher by 5.40%, hitting a new high since April 4th. Popular Chinese concept stocks rose across the board. Weride rose by more than 27%, Pony.ai increased by nearly 12%, and XPeng Motors and Bilibili both rose by nearly 8%.

The FTSE A50 futures index closed down 0.14% in the night session, at 13,616 points.
