However, since 2021, the price of Feitian Moutai has basically shown a volatile downward trend. Some people say that the luster of Moutai has gradually faded due to the ban on alcohol and young people not drinking Baijiu. Is that really the case?

For Feitian Moutai, it is essentially different from other mid-to-high-end Baijiu. Generally speaking, Maotai liquor has factory prices, retail guidance prices, wholesale prices and the final market price.

In 2023, the factory price of Feitian Moutai liquor was raised once, but it has not adopted the strategy of price adjustment to this day. Based on the analysis of the last three price adjustment actions of Feitian Moutai, it is found that the price is adjusted almost every five or six years, and each adjustment is around 200 yuan.

Take 2012 as an example, the factory price of Feitian Moutai was raised to 819 yuan, an increase of 33%. In 2018, the factory price of Feitian Moutai was raised to 969 yuan and remained so for nearly six years. By 2023, the factory price of Feitian Moutai had been raised to 1,169 yuan and has remained so for nearly two years.
