Population aggregation is the most direct manifestation of a city’s competitiveness. As a key supporting element of the real estate market, the size, flow direction and age structure of the population deeply influence the housing demand potential of different cities. Against the backdrop of a decline in the total population and a slowdown in urbanization, the continuous net inflow of population has become a key indicator for measuring the resilience of urban development and market vitality. On the one hand, the continuous inflow of population provides a stable housing foundation for cities. On the other hand, the aggregation of high-quality talents will also drive the release of demand for improved housing, providing support for the long-term development of the market.
