Oracle rose by 28% after the market, and the “AI faith” caused another tide!

2025-09-10

On September 9, local time, Oracle (ORCL.US), a veteran technology giant in the US stock market, released its fiscal first quarter report for the 2026 fiscal year ended August 31.

During the reporting period, the company recorded a total revenue of US$14.9 billion, an increase of approximately 12% year-on-year, lower than market expectations, of which Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS) revenue was US$3.3 billion; the company’s GAAP net profit was US$2.9 billion; and adjusted earnings per share in the first quarter was US$1.47, also lower than market expectations.

The company’s overall financial data performed mediocrely. However, Oracle disclosed in its latest financial report that its obligation to perform (unrecognized contracted income) has reached US$455 billion, a year-on-year increase of 359%.

The company also expects cloud infrastructure revenue to reach US$18 billion in fiscal 2026, an increase of nearly 77% from US$10.3 billion in fiscal 2025. For the next four fiscal years, the company expects this revenue to reach US$32 billion, US$73 billion, US$114 billion and US$144 billion respectively.

This dazzling data immediately aroused “thousands of waves” in the capital market.

Industry insiders pointed out that Oracle has been making frequent moves in the fields of AI and cloud computing in recent times. The company previously announced a contract with OpenAI to jointly develop a data center with super-capacity in the United States. Not only that, a number of technology giants, including xAI, a new AI power under Musk and Meta, have become cloud computing customers of the company. Even the Gemini artificial intelligence model of cloud service competitor Google will run on Oracle’s cloud infrastructure.

In this financial report, the latest performance and outlook guidance highlights that Oracle, which has long been famous for its database software, is accelerating its entry into the cloud computing service super giant.

Many investors are increasingly convinced that companies may have a second spring in the AI data center boom and become one of the main beneficiaries of the artificial intelligence boom. In the future, in the cloud computing field, the company’s market share will even be comparable to Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.

After the financial report was released, it also triggered crazy bets in the capital market. The latest data shows that the US stock market’s Oracle soared more than 28% after the market trading to US$310 per share.
