After the market closed on Wednesday, chip giant Nvidia released its fiscal third-quarter earnings report for 2026, which became the focus of the global tech industry. Its strong results directly ignited market enthusiasm. The earnings report showed that the company’s Q3 revenue reached $57 billion, significantly exceeding analysts’ expectations of $54.2 billion. More encouragingly, the revenue outlook for the fourth fiscal quarter is $65 billion, also higher than the market forecast of $61.5 billion. This data pushed Nvidia’s after-hours stock price to rise by 5% and drove related chip stocks such as Oracle and AMD to rise collectively.
The core driver of revenue growth comes from the continued boom in the artificial intelligence (AI) field. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang pointed out in the earnings call that “AI is fundamentally changing the workload patterns of global enterprises,” and corporate demand for high-performance GPUs has expanded from Internet technology giants to traditional manufacturing, financial services, and other sectors. Nvidia CFO Colette Kress added that despite strong market demand, the service life of GPUs is extending, a trend that will help the company maintain stable profit margins while controlling production capacity. Earnings data shows that data center business revenue increased by 110% year-on-year, accounting for 78% of total revenue, becoming the absolute growth engine.
Nvidia’s strong performance resonates with the expansion of the global AI industry chain. On the same day, news emerged that the U.S. has approved the export of up to 70,000 chips to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and established a strategic cooperative partnership on AI with Saudi Arabia. Saudi AI startup Humain plans to deploy 600,000 Nvidia GPUs within three years and has reached a global cooperation agreement with Adobe to jointly develop AI application scenarios in the Middle East. These developments indicate that the global layout of the AI industry is accelerating, and Nvidia continues to occupy a core position in the industrial chain relying on its technological monopoly in the hardware field. For investors, Nvidia’s earnings report not only verifies the commercial value of the AI industry but also provides important support for the future trend of tech stocks. However, potential risks from intensified industry competition and technological iteration need to be vigilant.
