Netflix Faces Class Action Over $72 Billion Acquisition, Stock Plummets 4%

2025-12-11

On December 10, the Asian Development Bank released its latest economic outlook report, raising its forecast for the economic growth of developing economies in the Asia-Pacific region in 2025 to 5.1%, an increase of 0.3 percentage points from the September forecast this year. The report points out that the steady export performance of high-income technology-exporting economies in the region is the core factor for this upward revision.

The report also mentions that the resilience of China’s economy provides strong support for regional growth. Prior to this, the IMF just raised its forecast for China’s economic growth in 2025 to 5%. China’s recovery in domestic demand, industrial upgrading, and continuous advancement of infrastructure construction have had a significant driving effect on trade and investment in neighboring countries. In addition, some Southeast Asian countries have successfully undertaken manufacturing transfers and achieved a strong recovery in the service industry, which has also injected impetus into the regional economy.

On the same day, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde also stated that the euro zone has shown greater resilience than expected in the face of U.S. tariff offensives, and may raise its economic growth forecast next week. The revised growth forecasts of many major global economies reflect that the global economic recovery is more optimistic than previously expected. However, analysts warn that factors such as uncertainty in U.S. trade policies and geopolitical risks may still disrupt the recovery process of the Asia-Pacific economy, requiring vigilance.
