A number of well-known global diversified enterprise groups have disclosed their Q3 and half-year financial results for 2025, showing a significant divergence. Berkshire Hathaway, led by Warren Buffett, delivered an outstanding performance in Q3, with total revenue of $94.972 billion, a year-on-year increase of 2%, net profit of $30.796 billion, a year-on-year surge of 17%, and operating profit also increased significantly to $13.485 billion. Japanese enterprises showed obvious performance divergence: net profits of Itochu Corporation, Marubeni Corporation and others increased year-on-year, while Mitsubishi Corporation’s net profit dropped by 42.4% year-on-year. Among European and American enterprises, Honeywell’s net sales in Q3 increased by 7% year-on-year, and net profit of $1.825 billion increased year-on-year; 3M’s sales increased slightly, but net profit declined year-on-year. Industry analysts point out that AI-related investments and energy transition businesses have become the core driving forces for enterprises’ performance growth.
