A-Share Midday: Precious Metals Lead, IPO Market Active

2026-03-30

On March 30, A-shares fluctuated upward in the morning session, with the Shanghai Composite Index turning red and rising at midday. The precious metals sector led the gains driven by global risk aversion, and individual stocks showed a general upward trend; at the same time, the IPO market remained active today, with multiple new stocks launching subscriptions and listings. The financing function of the capital market continued to play, injecting fresh blood into the real economy.

A-shares performed brightly in the morning. As of midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.23%. The precious metals sector led the market, with related individual stocks rising collectively driven by the global increase in gold prices, becoming the most active sector in the morning. From the disk perspective, individual stocks showed a general upward pattern, with most sectors achieving growth. Sectors such as energy metals, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals continued their strong performance yesterday, and some technology stocks gradually recovered, improving the market profit-making effect.

In the IPO market, two new stocks, Youyan Composite Materials and Saiying Electronics, launched subscriptions today, and Yuelong Technology was officially listed, providing new investment targets for investors. At the same time, the pace of IPO review has been stable recently. Enterprises such as Qian’an Technology, Jinge New Materials, and Changjin Photonics have successively passed the review. Up to now, 43 enterprises have passed the IPO review this year, and the underwriting efforts of securities companies have continued to increase, effectively exerting the financing function of the capital market.

It is worth noting that some individual stocks in the A-share market also fluctuated today: Dongtu Technology terminated its strategic cooperation with Gaowei KeGai, Sitwei plans to raise no more than 3.2 billion yuan through private placement, and some individual stocks have plans for actual controllers to cash out, attracting market attention. Analysts said that the current A-share market is in a shock recovery stage. Geopolitical conflicts and changes in the capital side are still the key factors affecting short-term trends. Investors can focus on policy-benefited sectors and individual stocks with strong performance certainty, and cautiously respond to the risk of individual stock fluctuations.
