Visa-free access enables “China Travel” to set off at any time
The 2025 Shanghai International Travel Mart was held from May 27th to 29th. Over 700 exhibitors from more than 80 countries and regions around the world participated. The scale of the event increased by 30% year-on-year, setting a new record high in history. Among them, the scale of the China Inbound Tourism exhibition area this year has increased by 63% compared with last year, and “China Travel” has attracted the attention of the audience.
Mario Tobias, the CEO of Messe Berlin, the organizer of the exhibition, said, “We are witnessing the bright prospects of the continuous vigorous development of China’s tourism market at the exhibition.”
Reporters on the scene saw that the Beijing booth showcased representative projects of intangible cultural heritage. A light and colorful phoenix kite accompanied tourists as they passed by, attracting people to take photos as souvenirs. The Shanghai booth, on the other hand, was quite “tech-savvy”. The cultural and tourism smart body “Hu Xiaoyou” launched by the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism was prominently displayed on the electronic screen, attracting visitors to stop and interact. At the booths of Hubei, Guangxi and other places, in addition to promoting local characteristic landscapes and folk activities, there were also exquisite cultural and creative products.
