At the forum site, the “1.0 Version of China Aluminum Industry High-Quality LCA Carbon Footprint Database” was also released. This database integrates over 1,800 core datasets of China’s aluminum industry, approximately 100 times the size of the international mainstream related datasets. It covers 24 typical products such as alumina, pre-baked anodes, molten aluminum, and aluminum and aluminum alloy ingots, with particle sizes refined to 11 major production capacity provinces in China. It can comprehensively reflect the latest mainstream production processes and energy structure of China’s aluminum industry.
It is learned that in terms of the professionalism of data processing, the completeness and consistency of the database, transparency and traceability, system interactivity, and compliance, this database benchmarks against the internationally accepted frameworks adopted by the United Nations Environment Programme, the European Union, and others, and has a good foundation for international adaptability and mutual recognition.
