Zhang Guilin, the general manager of Shanghai Elong Hotel, said that judging from the situation in the past two years, there are also obvious peak and off-peak seasons for foreign guests visiting Shanghai. In fact, during longer holidays such as May Day, National Day and the Spring Festival, there aren’t many foreign tourists. They also know that domestic tourism is quite popular during these periods, so they deliberately avoid them. Zhang Guilin said.
From the perspective of the sources of foreign guests, several hotels interviewed all indicated that guests from Southeast Asian countries were the most numerous. Among them, guests from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam accounted for a relatively high proportion, followed by those from South Korea and Russia. Overall, guests from Europe and America were relatively few.
